Welcoming: At Belview Lutheran Parish we welcome you to come join our family of faith! We welcome all people: young, old, married people, single people, people of all races and ethnicities, people who haven't been to church in a while, and people who just want to learn more about the Christian faith. We believe that all people are sinners in need of God's grace, love, and forgiveness. We welcome you in the name of God's forgiveness and love!

Bible-Based : At Belview Lutheran Parish we base all of our teaching on the Bible, which we firmly believe is the inspired, inerrant Word of God. We believe that God speaks to us through his Word. We believe what Jesus tells us in John chapter eight, that if we "abide in his Word we are truly his disciples" and that we "will know the truth" (John 8:31).

Traditional: We, at Belview Lutheran Parish, also cherish the heritage and traditions of the Christian Church. We follow the ancient liturgy of the church. Our pastor wears "vestments" (traditional clergy garb), and we sing the historic hymns of of the faith. We look to the heritage of the Apostles and the ancient church as a guide for how we teach the faith. We also cherish our Lutheran heritage. We believe that Martin Luther and the Reformers of the Sixteenth Century rediscovered the central truth of God's Word that had been obscured for a time in the church. This central truth is the Gospel message: that through faith in Jesus, God freely forgives us all of our sins. Through Jesus’ death and resurrection we have eternal life waiting for us when we die.
